Latest Firmware:

June242025v1.0 - click to download .zip file

Notes:

This firmware installation does clear current stored settings. So you will have to reset stow, park, and zero set to keel. You will want to re-sync trolling motor mirror.

We had a user have their Windows Defender block the download of the .exe file when extrating the .zip file. You may need to disable this prior to download for all files to come through.

We had a single user flash their system and their foot pedal did not communicate with the motor. Re-flashing the foot pedal fixed this issue.

Fixes:

New firmware fixes prior issue where Trolling Motor Mirror would start from power-off with a 90 degree offset or randomly offset 90 or 180 degree when entering Trolling Motor Mirror Mode. Additional changes for improved responsiveness and motion control.

New Features:

Underlying code added for future expansion module. Will not effect current modes or setup.

Known Issues List:

None

Firmware Update Instructions:

Note:   This firmware update requires a Windows computer.

If for any reason you have issues with installing the firmware or if you would like us to walk you through it step by step, please contact us to arange a time and we will gladly do so.

Start with a download of the attached .zip file link and unpack to your downloads folder.

Once there, you will likely need to install the Silicon Labs CP210x usb to serial driver. Just right click one the "silabser" setup information file in the CP210x_Universal_Windows_Driver folder and select "Install." You may receive a message from Windows that you need to approve this installation. If you do, select yes to complete installation.

Once this has been installed, unplug the foot pedal to junction block cable as all power for the firmware flashing will come from the USB cable via computer. Now hook up the 5 Pin to USB cable to the 5 Pin connector on the back of the foot control and run the dual firmware update program.

The update program will launch and it automatically polls the .lpt ports looking for the foot pedal. Once it finds the port that the foot pedal is attached to, there will appear a big green button at the top that says Flash Firmware. Click this button to begin the flash.

You will then get the following prompt. Select Yes to continue.

The device will automatically cycle through twice, once to clear memory and the second time to load the firmware. You will see the rainbow light display multiple times during the process. Once complete you will receive the following prompt:

Now disconnect the USB cable. The update may require you to reset the Clearance and Park position as well as the Zero Set to the keel of the boat.
